What We Do

The Objects of Kiwanis International

These principles have guided Kiwanians’ work since 1924

  • To give primacy to the human and spiritual rather than to the material values of life.
  • To encouage the daily living of the Golden Rule in all human relationshps.
  • To promte the adoptions and the application of higher social, business, and professional standards.
  • To develop, by precept and example, a more intelligent, agressive, and serviceable citizenship.
  • To proide, through Kiwanis clubs, a practical means to form enduring friendships, to render alturistic service, and to build better communities.
  • To cooperate in creating and maintaining that sound public opinion and high idealism which makes possible the increase of righteousness, justice, patriotism, and goodwill

Hands-on Service
Mentoring children, feeding families, fundraising for local causes – whatever Woodlake needs most.  We believe that those who give the most are the happiest. There is nothing more beautiful than individuals who reach out to make other people’s lives beautiful. It teaches us the value of service to others and shows us how important our contributions are in making this world a better place, especially for the children.

Personal growth and development
Membership provides education in human relations and personal development. Being in service to others develops good character in everybody. It gives us experiences that teach and develop us to become better individuals.

Make friends and be part of something great
Being a member allows one to take part in the many activities and projects we create. We have a great group of members who enjoy spending time with each other for the betterment of our community.
